Placentia Round Table Women's Club Awards $50,000 in Scholarships to Deserving Local Students

PLACENTIA, CA — The Placentia Round Table Women's Club, a nonprofit philanthropic organization committed to serving our community, is pleased to announce the award of $50,000 in scholarship funding to outstanding local students pursuing higher education.

This year, the organization conferred fifty scholarships of $1,000 each to graduating seniors from a Placentia-Yorba Linda School District high school, across two distinct categories:

  • Merit Scholarships — forty scholarships awarded to deserving graduating seniors
  • Tommie Kalman Memorial Scholarships — ten scholarships designated specifically for graduating seniors intending to pursue careers in the health professions

Recipients represent students advancing to four-year universities, community colleges, and trade schools. The Placentia Round Table Women's Club extends its congratulations to all scholarship recipients and wishes the Class of 2026 every success in their academic and professional endeavors. A complete list of 2026 scholarship recipients, organized by school, is attached.

Scholarship funding is made possible through the dedicated volunteer efforts of club members, who organize a variety of community fundraising initiatives including the Festival of Trees, the Friendship Soup project, and clubhouse rental programs. The proceeds from these efforts are reinvested into the community through scholarships and support for local schools and organizations.
