Congratulations to Our Veteran Scholarship Recipients!
What an honor to celebrate PO2 Christian Alexander Lopez and Former Army Sgt. Victor Miranda as this year’s recipients of the Placentia Round Table Women’s Club Veteran Scholarships!
Christian Alexander Lopez is a Kinesiology student at Fullerton College and Navy Reserve Logistics Specialist Second Class in Los Angeles. A Navy veteran, he manages equipment accountability and logistics for reservists. Lopez plans to earn his bachelor’s at Cal State Fullerton and pursue physical therapy, specializing in veteran rehabilitation.
Victor Miranda enlisted in the U.S. Army to honor his immigrant parents’ sacrifices. He served as a Cavalry Scout specializing in Arctic Warfare Reconnaissance at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Post reenlistment, he served at Fort Bliss, Texas, and in South Korea. He is pursuing a degree in education with the goal of becoming a math teacher.
