She will be speaking about State Bill 1383 which went into effect on January 1, 2022 and requires businesses and residents to divert organic materials from local landfills. As details about this continuously evolve over the next few months, the City’s Environmental Services Coordinator Cathy Nguyen wants to ensure all questions or concerns are properly addressed. Cathy joined the Placentia family in November 2021 and was previously the Recycling Coordinator at Republic Services. Her educational background is in Hospitality Management, but her passion for environmental issues and serving the local community led her here.
