The Placentia Chamber of Commerce will host a Candidates Forum on Friday October 14, at the Placentia Library 411 E. Chapman Ave. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this free event. It will begin with an informal candidate meet and greet at 6:00pm, where light refreshments will be provided. The forum will follow promptly at 6:30pm and continue until 8:00pm. The forum will feature candidates running for the offices of City Council and City Treasurer.
All candidates for Placentia’s Council and Treasurer positions have been invited to attend.
The Council and Treasurer candidates will deliver their opening statements, followed by questions submitted by the audience and from a panel of Placentia Chamber Board Members.Dr. Sarah Hill, Associate Professor of Political Science at California State University, Fullerton, will moderate the forum.
Dwayne DeRose, Placentia Chamber of Commerce Legislative Advocacy Committee Chair, says “The purpose of this non-partisan forum is to allow residents the opportunity to learn more about the candidate’s qualifications, personal attributes and views prior to the November election.”
