How do you know if you are getting a good workout
 
Don't try to rate the quality of a single gym session, look at your progress week to week. If you're effectively challenging yourself each workout and seeing over time that the number of repetitions you can do and the weight you're lifting are increasing, and you're able to do more of the activities you love with greater ease, then rest assured your
approach to exercise is on the right track
 
Ditch the "No Pain, No Gain," mantra. While some muscle soreness is normal and even motivating for some, it's not proven that excessive soreness translates to better results. The same goes for sweat. Perspiration does not correlate to how many calories you are burning.
